PSL 7: Who will play for which team,
and how can you get tickets?
Pakistan Super
League has just entered its seventh year. When it was first held in 2016, very
few people believed that it was held regularly every year. PSL has had numerous
ups and downs during its history, but by conquering these challenges, it has
grown into a vital source of entertainment for Pakistani fans.
PSL matches will be
held in two cities this year: Karachi and Lahore. The league matches were held
in Karachi and Lahore last year as too, however, after 14 matches in Karachi,
the league was forced to postpone because of the Covid-19 issue. The remaining matches
were then planned to be held in Abu Dhabi.
The Pakistan Super
League 7 will get off on January 27 at Karachi's National Stadium with a match
between reigning champions Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings.
The festival will
take host at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from February 10 to 15, with 15 of the
34 matches taking place in Karachi. In Lahore, 19 matches will be contested. The
first playoff will take place on February 23, followed by the first eliminator
on February 24, and the second element on February 25. The championship game
will take place on February 27.

Who is in which
team?
All six clubs in the
Pakistan Super League have completed their squads through draughts, although
the major stars are missing this time around, owing to the hectic international
cricket season.
Multan Sultans are
the current Pakistan Super League champions, having won the trophy for the
first time last year by defeating Peshawar Zalmi by 47 runs in the final. This
time to the team will be led by wicketkeeper-batsman Muhammad Rizwan. South
Africans Imran Tahir and Riley Russo, Khushdil Shah, Sohaib Maqsood, Shaun
Masood, and Shahnawaz Dhani have also been retained by the Multan Sultans'
management. He's also brought in Australian batter Tim David, as well as West
Indies' Odin Smith and Roman Powell.
This time, Shaheen
Shah Afridi has taken over as the head of Lahore Qalandar. Rashid Khan of
Afghanistan, David Visa of South Africa, Muhammad Hafeez, Fakhr Zaman, and
Haris Rauf of Pakistan are among the team's snipers. Harry Brook of England has
also joined the team.
Islamabad United,
the two-time champions, have retained their faith in Colin Monroe of New
Zealand. Shadab Khan will lead the club, and with Alex Hales, Asif Ali, Hassan
Ali, Muhammad Wasim Jr., and Paul Sterling in the mix, the group appears to be
well-balanced. Quetta Gladiators' Azam Khan has joined Islamabad United. Iftikhar
Ahmed, on the other hand, has unexpectedly departed Islamabad United for Quetta
Gladiators.
Zalmai's team,
captained by Wahab Riaz, has Afghanistan's Hazratullah Zazai, who is hitting
fiercely. Apart from them, veteran Shoaib Malik, young talent Haider Ali, Lime
Livingstone of England, West Indian Sharkfin Rutherford, Kamran Akmal, and Usman
Qadir are also in the team. After being relegated, Kamran Akmal first refused
to compete in the silver division, but ultimately consented.
The 2019 winners
Quetta Gladiators are still captained by wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfraz Ahmed.
Quetta has got England's World Cup-winning opener Jason Roy. The names of
Australian fast bowlers James Faulkner and Omar Kamal are also included in the
Quetta Gladiators this time. Shahid Afridi has also been a part of Quetta
Gladiators this year and he wants to say goodbye to Pakistan Super League with
victory.
Shahid Afridi has
played for Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, and Multan Sultans in Pakistan Super
League.
Karachi Kings have
changed the captaincy and handed over the responsibility from Emad Wasim to
Babar Azam. He also has England's Chris Jordan, Louis Gregory, and Tom Able.
Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Amir, and Mohammad Nabi are already part of this team.
According to the
Pakistan Cricket Board, there are 14 cricketers who will not be present in the
first few matches of the PSL due to their international cricket engagements. I
will be representing West Indies' Shimron Heitmeyer Quetta Gladiators.
Similarly, Multan Sultans have selected England all-rounder David Willie in the
supplementary round.

Waiting for the
official PSL song
The official song of
the Pakistan Super League is always anticipated by fans prior to matches in the
league. It's never been easier to figure out which PSL official song is the
most popular. Interesting comments and memes have been posted.
Ali Zafar, Fawad
Khan, Ali Azmat, Asim Azhar, Arif Lohar, Haroon Rashid, Naseebo Lal, and Aima
Baig have all been seen in these songs thus far.
This question is currently unanswered as to whether the official song will resound in the air this time or if the event will go on without it.
