The Afghan people should be seen separately from the Afghan Taliban: Imran Khan's message to the United States.

Addressing a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Islamabad on Sunday, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the United States must look at the 40 million Afghan people and the Taliban government separately.

Pakistan is hosting the OIC Foreign Ministers' Meeting after 40 years. Earlier, when the meeting was held in Pakistan in 1980, the focus was on Afghanistan.

At the conclusion of the OIC, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi presented a resolution approved by the OIC member states, calling on the Taliban's interim government in Afghanistan to renounce terrorist organizations such as ISIS, Al Qaeda, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and East Turkistan Islamic Movement. (ATM) has been asked to take strong measures.

Pakistan wants to limit the Pakistani Taliban ie TTP through the Afghan Taliban. The second threat to Pakistan is from ISIS Khurasan, which both Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban do not want to flourish.

The 31-point resolution warns the international community to beware of internal and external "spoilers" and to ensure peace in Afghanistan. In Afghanistan, the Taliban's interim government has been called upon to form a partnership government, as well as to include Afghan girls and women in Afghan society.

The resolution called on OIC Secretary-General Hussein Brahim Taha to send a delegation of religious scholars, led by the International Academy of Islamic Jurisprudence, to promote women's rights, justice, tolerance, and men and women in Islam. Raise awareness about equal education.

The story of the OIC meeting.

The number of OIC member countries, foreign and regional delegations attending the December 19 meeting is close to 70, of which 20 are at the ministerial level and ten at the deputy minister level.

Extremely tight security has been in place in Islamabad for several days. In this regard, the Ministry of External Affairs had arranged a shuttle service for the journalists to the Parliament House for which they were asked to come to the sports complex near Aabpara Market in Islamabad at 6 o'clock in the morning.

OIC Secretary-General Hussein Brahim Taha said there was a need to meet Afghanistan's needs and ensure that terrorism did not resurface in the region.

On the other hand, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Aid and Coordination Martin Griffith said that the world is witnessing a catastrophe in Afghanistan and if nothing is done soon, the economic and humanitarian crisis there will not be stopped. Earlier, Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in his address to the meeting said that the mistakes of the past should not be repeated on the issue of Afghanistan.

What else did Prime Minister Imran Khan say from the meeting?

Unlike the other ministers present at the conference, Prime Minister Imran Khan delivered his speech spontaneously. He addressed the participants without looking at the paper or file.

In his address, Imran Khan said that no country is facing a situation like Afghanistan, there have been corrupt governments for years, Pakistan suffered the most due to the situation in Afghanistan, where about 80,000 people were killed as a result of terrorism. Killed and if the world does not take action, it will be the greatest human tragedy ever created.

During his speech, the Prime Minister repeatedly addressed the United States and talked about increasing the complications by imposing sanctions on the Afghan Taliban. " The civilians are currently suffering the consequences of regulations such as these," he said.

It may be recalled that recently Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi briefed the media on the OIC meeting at the Foreign Office. "We are not Taliban spokesmen," he said. Rather, they expect the international community to listen to the Afghan Taliban and work with them. The Afghan Taliban are expected to understand the concerns of the international community.

" We're only discussing the humanistic issue today, but we're only going to discuss citizens of this country."

Before the OIC meeting began on Sunday when asked if the way was being paved to accept the Taliban after the aid? So he bluntly replied that "today we will only talk about the humanitarian crisis, we will talk about human beings."

Similarly, the interim foreign minister of the Taliban government in Afghanistan, Amir Khan Muttaqi, said during a ten-minute break in the meeting that "Afghanistan has economic problems at the moment and thank God there is no problem between the government and law and order." We expect a final decision on Afghanistan today.

It may be recalled that Amir Khan Mottaki, who had earlier paid a three-day visit to Pakistan in November, had mocked US policies during a conference and said that coercive tactics could not work 20 years ago and could not work now. Will We have never asked President Biden to make President Trump part of his cabinet? When you come to Afghanistan, you will know how many rights women have there.
