He claimed that the deceased was employed in Islamabad and had gone out of town for work, but the patient had not.

Asad Omar had said that this type of virus would spread all over the world because we have already seen that whenever a virus enters, it is hard to halt it in today's interconnected society, but immunization is the most reasonable way to avert this menace.

Pakistan had on November 27 imposed a complete travel ban on six South African countries, including South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, Botswana, and Namibia, as well as Hong Kong, to stop the new virus from spreading across the country

Subsequently, nine additional states were included into Croatia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Ireland, Slovenia, Vietnam, Poland, and Zimbabwe.

The National Command and Operating Center ranked 13 countries, including the United States, Britain, Germany, Trinidad and Tobago, Azerbaijan, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Russia, Thailand, France, Austria, Afghanistan, and Turkey, in Category B of the itinerary.

Vaccination is mandatory for travelers from these countries, while everyone over the age of six must have a negative PCR test report issued within 48 hours of boarding.

Omicron has been described by the World Health Organization as a highly contagious virus and has been placed in the same category as the Delta variant.

Medical experts around the world are working to find out the effects of over-the-counter doses of vaccines from various companies against the new type of corona omicron.

Now, researchers in Hong Kong have released preliminary data on the effects of booster doses of Chinese company Sinovac, used to prevent covid-19 on omicron. Omicron is thought to be 70 times more contagious than Delta, and vaccinators may need additional doses of vaccines for this type of vaccine. A recent laboratory study by Sinovac found that 94% of people who took three doses of the vaccine developed antiviral antibodies but did not shed light on the surface.

A Hong Kong study examining the levels of antibodies in people who used two doses of the vaccine confirmed that two doses were insufficient to protect against omicron.

It should be noted that Chinese vaccines called 'Sinopharm' and ' Sinovac ' are being used in many Asian and Central countries including Pakistan. Even a third dose of Sinopharm could only assist develop 20% of the antibodies against omicron, according to a collaborative study from Shanghai Jiao tong University and the Institute for Infectious Diseases.
