Banks start talking in Urdu, now put staff in Shalwar Kameez, PM Imran Khan
Prime Minister Imran
Khan said that when banks give loans to people for housing, it will improve our
economy
Prime Minister Imran
Khan thanked all the banks for talking in Urdu to the customers who come to the
banks for their home loans and advised them to put the staff in shalwar kameez
for the convenience of the people.
Addressing the ceremony of the Mera Pakistan, Mera Home” Housing Loan Scheme, the Prime Minister said that it should have happened earlier in Pakistan because a salaried person has never had the resources to save so much cash and buy a house.
He said that
whenever he met poor Pakistanis working in overseas countries, he always wished
that they would earn money abroad and build houses in Pakistan but our
government never realized these poor Pakistanis. ۔
"I probably
will not think about it if I didn't reside in England after college," PM Imran Khan said. But in England, every salaried person does mortgage
finance in which the interest rate is very low, so by paying a small amount for
them, the house becomes theirs.
The Prime Minister
said that the governments formed in our country only thought of the elite, a
small class became rich and the rich man remained there and this caused great
damage to our country.
"Chinese had
become the world's super-power in 30 to 40 years because it enhanced the quality
of life of lower classes, therefore when we establish such a wide
difference between wealthy and poor, that country will not be able to move
forward," PM Imran Khan said.
On this occasion, he
also criticized the banking system and said that the environment of our bank
was such that the common man was afraid to go inside, first they speak in
English and then they wear a tie on top so they are in such an environment. I
felt like I came from another world and our system doesn't provide them with
facilities.
"Financial
institutions have transformed in last six months, and the common guy has started to receive loans, and I hope you will promote it even more so that
more people would come to you, PM Imran Khan said.
"Although banks
give home loans to consumers, which benefits our economy since it encourages
construction because many people want to build their own home," PM said.
"If an ordinary
man wants to purchase a house from a bank, the interest rate is so high
that he cannot borrow at that rate, therefore we have provided him a subsidy in
this respect, and we will get this subsidy as the economy expands," PM
Khan said. Will also be increased so that they can buy a house in easy
installments on a monthly salary.
The Prime Minister said that I would also like to thank the banks that they have now started talking in Urdu and suggested that for the convenience of the poor people they should put the staff in shalwar kameez which will not frighten the people.
2 million borrowers
will have to pay an installment of Rs 11,000, Raza Baqir
Earlier, SBP
Governor Raza Baqir said that with regard to this housing scheme, SBP and banks
attempted to construct a system in which banks would begin lending to persons
who had previously been denied credit.
He said that the Prime Minister's government had done something like never before and he had given interest rate subsidies to those who wanted to buy these houses.
He said that thanks
to this monthly subsidy, the monthly installment for a borrower of Rs. 3
million would be about Rs. 19,000. If a person borrows Rs. At least 20 times
more.
"Several of the
issues we experienced was that our bank officials were not well-trained enough
to tell banks how to apply for housing under the My Pakistan plan," he said.
We've reached the stage where Rs. 109 billion has indeed been granted for
people who want to build their own homes.
He said that apart
from this we have received 260 billion applications so far and the banks have
given 32 billion rupees to these people.
The Governor SBP
said that every week banks are approving loans of Rs. 4 billion and with this
Rs. But in just the next six months, that figure had reached 80 billion.
